The nine blocks in this quilt are made from matching strips and have white centers. But where the corners of the large blocks come together, scrappy squares with pink centers form. This secondary pattern is a bonus of the block design.
1.Sew two 2½" x 9" print rectangles together side by side. Make a second unit using two different prints. Repeat to make four units in each print combination.
2.Sew pieced units to the sides of a 2½" x 9" white rectangle, using all four prints in each unit. Make four. Trim to measure 8½" x 10½", including the seam allowances.
